After securing the national title and the IMMAF world qualifier berth, Chandler stepped up last-minute the same day to accept a match against Lariah Gill in an older and larger division — a match Gill had no other willing opponent for. Gill was a two-time IMMAF Youth World Champion, three-time US national champion, and IMMAF ambassador. Chandler won by submission.
